Ice Dance

"Come to the Ice Dance," he cried,
"Come to the Ice Dance with me!
"Come you dullards,
"Come, slothful ones!
"Let us dance at the Ice Dance tonight!"

"To dance the dance of bygone times
"To dance of future dreams.
"Each six-point dancer,
"Each of you dream,
"Come to the Ice Dance with me!"

So cried the wind
That called each snowflake
And whirled it round and round.
And wild
Each partner danced in the air
Each partner flew
Each flake of snow was tossed and blew.

Each danced a dance of bygone times
Each danced a dance to future dreams
Danced with the wind that violent blew
Each snowflake danced and flew.
