A collection of poems by the Wordsmith

Star Widow

The gentle rain hides the tears,
And fears hide in your heart.
While you stare upwards
Into the empty night.

Clouds hide the stars
Where he is now gone
And in his place
Another lies.

Stars hide him
Wouldn't they say:
"Here does he lie!"
Perhaps with some other?

Turn back to your lover
Widow of the stars.
The other lies in sighs,
Waiting for your touch.

Hidden love you hold
In a tear that falls unbidden
At an open window–
For all to see.
