Seven
Seven in a space-borne pyre
A beacon,
A light that shone
In courage.
Man cannot but explore
He cannot raise his eyes
And say "I will not look"
And so we look
We travel
We take small steps
And giant leaps...
And martyrs fall
On the altar of curiosity.
In the silence that follows
Their fall.
In the silence that followed
Every fall.
We stand in shock and silence
In tribute to lives lost
And worlds gained at a cost.
Yet we cannot turn away
We cannot stop
We cannot let the lives
Of those who are fallen
Become meaningless by
Stopping.
A beacon,
A light that shone
In courage.
Man cannot but explore
He cannot raise his eyes
And say "I will not look"
And so we look
We travel
We take small steps
And giant leaps...
And martyrs fall
On the altar of curiosity.
In the silence that follows
Their fall.
In the silence that followed
Every fall.
We stand in shock and silence
In tribute to lives lost
And worlds gained at a cost.
Yet we cannot turn away
We cannot stop
We cannot let the lives
Of those who are fallen
Become meaningless by
Stopping.
