A collection of poems by the Wordsmith

Right in Might

We have been here before,
So few of the names were different.
A different Bush perhaps
But the others are the same.

The words of their greatest leader
Distorted into a chant of chaos,
"Might is Right" they cry out loud
Do they know the truth?

The truth of Lincoln's words?
Not bombastic warmongering
But humility of an honest man
Striving to the best of his world
"Let us hope our right makes might"

That would stick in their throats
And choke them–if only.
